Sharing an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Marshfield health system in Wisconsin: medical and dental offices have access to same EHR system.
- All team members can view updated medication lists, tests, labs, and notes.
- Allows for focused population health searches (e.g. diabetic patients who have not had a dental visit).
- 1400 patients with diabetes without a recent dental visit were contacted to be seen by the dental team in 2012 alone.
