How do you apply silver diamine fluoride?

There are several key steps in the application of silver diamine fluoride:

Preparation:
- Identify caries lesions (pre-cavities and cavities)
- Assess for conditions that would not be treated by SDF
- Have consent discussion with patient/parent
Application:
- Apply the SDF
Follow-up:
- Ensure follow up with medical care and facilitate dental referral
